  • ASHI approves training centers and authorizes instructors worldwide to provide high-quality, effective emergency care training. • ASHI training programs are current, evidence-based, peer-reviewed and accepted. The programs are recognized, accepted and approved by, or meet the requirements of, nearly 2,400 state regulatory agencies, occupational licensing boards, national associations, commissions and councils in more than 120 occupations and professions.

The Council for the Model Aquatic Health Code (CMAHC)
Certification Program

StarGuard is the first ever and currently ONLY CMAHC certification of a lifeguard training program. This achievement promotes the health, safety, and wellness of the lifeguards who complete SGE training and the aquatic facilities they serve.

  • The CMAHC Certification Program certifies that services or products comply with the relevant or applicable standards and procedures outlined in the Model Aquatic Health Code (MAHC), the only all-inclusive model public health code for public aquatic facilities. The certification process includes a thorough product evaluation based on the MAHC content related to the specific product or service. Aquatic services and products must meet or exceed all applicable standards in these areas to earn a CMAHC certification.
  • CMAHC certification is not a one-time event; it builds a long-term quality control partnership. After the initial certification process, the CMAHC re-evaluates a company’s service or product annually to ensure it continues to meet the same high standards required in the MAHC to maintain certification over time.
